An international festival of surfing, FestivAlma is a celebration of winter sports, music, and, especially, Sao Paulo beach life.
The second national sport after football, surfing also has its annual gathering: the FestivAlma, organised along the beaches of Sao Paulo. For four days, the whole town follows competitions among the best surfers in the world. Between races, or when the weather is iffy, you can visit different exhibitions dedicated to the sport, or attend surfing film screenings about the exploits of champions and the most beautiful surfing spots in the world. In the evening the party continues at the famous and gigantic Quiksilver music festival, where the crowds of young Brazilians rage on until dawn.
